The test that I had was a mixture of numerical and verbal reasoning questions. the numerical questions were very complex and I left most of them to concentrate on the verbal ones. The numerical ones involved series of fractions and the answers were related to the largest / smallest, adding and subtracting etc. Although I had worked through all the numerical reasoning tests I was not up to speed on the methods used to work out the answers quickly and accurately. I therefore concentrated on the verbal reasoning aspects. The test was to look at two words then choose one word out of a further four that could be connnected to both the former two. Although I got the practice test wrong(!!) I did well on that aspect of the test and, overall, was marked in the 70 percentile against a graduate population. The assessor said my result equated to a 2.1 or 1st class degree level, which was good as I don't have a degree!). I also underwent Firo-B and three other comparatively short tests and, in total, four hours of psychological examination (the company carrying this out was YSC in London). Although the tests that you supplied were quite challenging, having not done that sort of thing for a long time, I am sure that my mind was better prepared for the real testing than it might otherwise have been if for no other reason that the practice enabled me not to get too worried about tests and also to practice the mental state to be in - concentrating, time awareness, careful. I enjoyed doing the inductive reasoning practice tests but, perhaps unfortunaelty, I didn't get a chance to have a real test in that area. I would certainly recommend your services which I consider to be good value for money. And... I got the job!!

All these tests had option of going back - however during actual test - the institute did not give this option !! I suggest you should build in this feature of 'not going back' to earlier questions in few tests. Inductive reasoning has too may problems with squares and pattern wtihin them with complex calculation mechanics. You should include more options whereby 'thinking pattern' is involved rather than counting of squares etc - I did not find inductive reasoning tests upto the mark

BarCanalyst
I solved your 9 numerical tests (each test at least twice) and achieved high percentiles (even 100 percentile). My main problem was always having very high accuracy but taking too long to solve the questions. I improved a lot, but not enough for the real test. Today I did a real SHL numerical test. The test was 18 questions and 25 minutes, no back button and no option to return to a previous question, and it was much harder than your tests. I also did a practice SHL exam twice and got 92%, and the real test was harder. The questions were hard and took long to complete, and there were new questions that I did not encounter before, such as graphs with time and distance axes in which I needed to convert meters/second to miles/hour, and hard currency questions. I did not know the answer to 1 or 2 questions (that I spent too long on and moved on), and I only completed 14 out of 18 questions (about 66% correct total I think). I really wish I could solve more practice tests. Your tests were good and provided me with important practice but they were not enough to prepare me for the real test. Much more exams and questions are needed in order to keep improving numerical skills, especially being able to solve hard questions fast enough, in order to achieve 100% in a real test such as the one that I did. I would have solved 20 more tests at least if I could to be prepared for this exam. So my advice to you is to keep writing more tests, and have more variety of hard questions, because it is needed to be able to solve those questions much faster. Other than that, I\'m really glad with your service and the opportunity that your provided me to practice tests, and I will continue practicing your tests for the inductive reasoning exam that I will do.

My test was with SHL - 18 questions in 25 minutes. The SHL questions were about the same difficulty as the ones on your website and very similar in style and format. The best bit was that I had practised doing 30 questions in 25 minutes so I had got very fast! When I did the real SHL test it felt like I had loads of time. I didn't panic, as I had done on previous tests, and I had time to check my answers thoroughly (though I couldn't go backwards on the SHL test so I had to check each answer before submitting). I just found out that I passed the test and can move on to the verbal one, which I will also be practising on your website - thank you so much Assessment Day!

He showed me how to think properly on these qs using these tests and they are perfect- just the right format and amount of difficulty..wording of qs etc. Plus, they are cheaper than competitors and have unlimited access..unlike wikijobs. The practical tests are a bit longer than the typical ones. They are of similar difficulty but I never succeeded to complete all the questions in time whereas I have no problems to achieve the real tests. Practicing these tests helped not to be impressed by the complexity of the charts and table and to pay attention at the measures (millions, hours/year,...). Exercises on percentages and examples of tables with share prices and basic financial statements (sales, costs, profits) often come on the real numerical tests. It is a pity though, that the solution handbook just gives the answers but no tips to improve your speed. And there is no FX question in these practice tests whereas they often come on numerical tests for positions in banking.

Hi, I've found your numerical and verbal reasoning tests very useful. One small complaint with the numerical tests: some of the writing on the charts is illegible. Apart from that, they've been great. Just one more thing: PwC have diagrammatical (logic) tests as part of their psychometric testing. This might be an area you want to expand into in the future as there don't seem to be many practice tests for these on the internet. Thanks.

Completely different format and questions varied. TBH the citi tests was very different to any others I have taken. The tables are poorly designed making it more difficult to extract the information and the answers are selected on a scrolling menu, with about 20+ diff answers. The citibank numeracy test was nothing like any of the numerical practice test found on this website. First, it is not a multiple choice test with 5 options but it has a drop down menu with 30 to 50 answers possible. Second there are 12 questions in all. Divided in 4 tables of 3 questions. You are allowed a maximum of 90 seconds for the first of the three questions and 75 seconds for the next 2. Third, there are a lot more information on their table than in any of the tables in the practice tests found on this website. Their numeracy test has nothing to do with the "classic" SHL tests other banks such as Barclays Capital and UBS use.

RE Numerical Reasoning Tests The numerical test I did comprised of 19 questions in 24 minutes. They start of quite easy and then get progressively harder. It is not so much the difficulty but the time factor. I would advise making some longer questions, although I have found the tests on this site of great use. For the second numerical test, it was very easy and your numerical tests are hard in comparison.

Well I completely bombed both Maths and Inductive reasoning on SHL - just ran out of time and found on screen really hard to do let alone conversion of currency. So I did more work and then the next test which wasn't SHL had basic maths which I hadn't practised - basis equations, ratios and time conversions so not as bad but not practised - they did though let me have a paper copy! I think you need more variety as your stuff is very SHL like. Also I think you could add value to the site by adding some how to videos- people have different learning styles and sometimes visual and oral explanations would have been so helpful! I will keep practising but despite managing big companies, emergencies and large staff numbers at a CE level - plus I have a Masters degree which included economics and stats - these tests still send me into anxiety attacks. I do not believe they accurately reflect ability and it saddens me when I see them used as a sole predictor of ability! I would however recommend your site - you are the only really helpful people out there! PS Perhaps you need a psychologist online as well to reassure people!

Their test was 20 questions in 25 minutes and was actually a little easier than some of the harder AD tests (no bad thing). Some of the numerical questions required more steps to reach the answer than yours. Otherwise they were closely representative. The answers to verbal reasoning tests seemed to be based on a more general interpretation of the passage or a particular sentence than recognition of the impact of a certain key word within the passage. i.e. theirs - broad meaning, yours - attention to detail within the passage.

Q5 Even in tough economic times, ESA directors wish to maintain a high level of work flowing through to the space industries of member states. True False Cannot say This is not explicitly stated. However, the passage states that ESA directors wish to keep their funding high even in times of global economic downtown. Elsewhere, ESA funding is stated as being directly related to the volume of work that passes back to member states' space industries. Under the funding structure described in the passage, work flowing through to member states can only happen if the ESA’s budget is maintained. The statement is therefore true by way of reasoning. This statement is not true by way of reasoning. It would be like arguing, I wish to drive my car, driving my car erodes the road surface, therefore it follows that it is my wish to erode the road surface. (Obviously false). Just because I wish a thing that has consequences, does not mean that I wish those consequences. clearly a failure of logic here by the question setter.

The test was SHL and 25 minutes long with 18 questions. Most of the questions I answered were using tables. They all required some grasp of economics/finance or business. Main problem is that they're not hard enough - the SHL ones are far more 'wordy' - using double negatives and unnecessary information to obscure the question. Maybe this is just because the accountancy ones are more tricky specifically.

In general the tests are good quality and better value for money than many others offered on the web. Two slight criticisms. 1) The tests are a touch easier than the shl tests (which many of the companies I have applied for use) and 2)The graphs are sometimes difficult to read because too small or the colours chosen are too similar to one another.

I thought it was pretty similar to your own tests. Great news! I practise one this morning and my brain was just out of gear, so I deferred the test and things were working a lot better tonight. One form of question that they had which I haven't seen so far in your tests is of the form. One column with an absolute number, one column with a rate. And then to recalculate an absolute number based on an alteration to both. Say for instance you are given the absolute number of accidents at work, and the rate of accidents at work. In the following five years the number of employees doubles, and the rate declines by 10. Calculate the new absolute number of injuries. Cheers

On Verbal test number 3 I have to query one of the answers you've given. Q 10, asks about are the majority of developing countries within 50km of the equator. The passage states that most are within 100km. You've said the answer should be true but surely you cannot say as there may be many more developing countries between 50 - 100km making the majority outside 50km? This is strictly speaking as it would be a basic assumption to say 100km is within 1 country around the equator but the passage does not tell you this. The basic assumption would say its true but the passage doesn't strictly tell you that information.

A couple of other features that would be useful (thanks for putting the tick/cross symbols at end of the test, much better!): 1. A record of past tests taken and scores achieved 2. Better explanation of how percentile scores are calculated - is "time taken to answer question" factored in? If not, some tests may be too easy as getting 100% puts you in 65th percentile (ie. too many people getting 100% = test too easy) 3. People who take the same test more than once, are their subsequent scores factored in? The effect of learning and practice on the same test will also throw the percentile calculation off.

The verbal reasoning test was 19 minutes, with the same number of questions, making it slightly difficult to adjust to the different amount of time given per answer. Most importantly, DJD's verbal reasoning tests are much much much more difficult! The passages are focussed on legal texts predominantly, or some impenetrable scientific reports. The logical passages required are more, and mostly, the level of English vocabulary required is definitely higher. Having said that, I did not encounter the same level of complexity in other grad schemes' online verbal tests - this might be an exception particular to this real estate firm, where large part of a graduate's work is reading, analysing and reporting on legal documents.

Experian used SHL tests and I found the numerical reasoning ones more difficult than yours. The techniques required were similar to yours and therefore your tests were good practice. FSAGraduate Development Program
The FSA's financial reasoning test is 35 minutes for 22 questions. However, those questions are somewhat more difficult, in large due to the necessary information being placed more in comparatively dense blocks of text than in graphs and tables.

I found the test questions interesting and cahllenging enough however I was struck by the inconsistency of the solutions. Sometimes a passage neither says one thing or another and the \"correct\" answer is \"cannot say\" whilst at other like instances the correct option is \"false\". A case of damned if you do, damned if you don\'t. Frustratingly this only occurs some of the time but it does make it difficult to learn from practice and/or ascertain why I get the results I do most of the time without any sign of improvement. In short what I am trying to say is that in one test you get marked wrong in a question for saying \"cannot say\" whilst in the next test that would be the correct answer. All that said I am glad to have paid for the privilege of your practice tests and rue the fact there were only seven.

Your verbal reasoning test was very similar to the one I took. It was definitely useful and I was more confident given the extra preparation I did. I practised from other websites too, like http://www.shldirect.com/practice_tests.html On the real test I had to take, I achieved 93% and didn't have time to complete the final question. So did pretty well!

Going through the process of doing the tests under timed conditions and being able to understand the solutions when I went wrong was invaluable. Sometimes I find that the question you pose are too long when it comes to working the answer out. Some of the company tests have shorter questions. Also, the test itself, from my experience of taking around 5 numerical reasoning tests, have only 20 questions with 20 minutes to answer those question. Maybe you could shortern the tests. Also, I do actually like the fact that your tests are more difficult than the actual company numerical tests that I have experienced.

I like the option of being able to look at how the answers are done. It may be seem a bit too much though it would be good to have a why somethings are done so the candidate can apply the knowledge to the brain so we can apply this to other questions as well as seeing why the answer relates to a specific question. Also though your test are the same level as the ones I did, the ones I did had more segments to the questions, e.g. find A then find b then find c. thanks for putting this up though it's still has helped. Verbal Reasoning: The Cubik tests are much harder. They use generally shorter but extremely confusing passages and cram 40 questions into 20 mins, which provides a much higher 'load' on the brain, which can cause panic (and did with me, even though I received good marks on your practice tests). Numerical Reasoning: The Cubik tests were harder as they required more manipulation steps to reach the answer, hence, more opportunity to go wrong. There are 24 questions in 20 mins, which is again a very high 'load' though having already messed up the VR test, I didn't panic as I considered there was nothing to lose anyway. I actually only completed about 13 questions, whereas I've been able to complete your tests in the time available.

Verbal Test had 30 questions to be completed in 15 min. The passages were shorter and applied to more than 4 questions each, so it was not very hard to complete all 30 questions. The AssessmentDay Verbal practice tests provided good practice in terms of logic and speed. Abstract Test has 28 questions to be completed in 14 min. The answers provided are useless as they describe the time-consuming common solution method that does not take into consideration the time constrain. In a few of the pie-charts used in the Numerical Tests, it is very difficult to differentiate between shades of the same colour -- light blue, dark blue and purple. As a result, time is lost trying to figure this out, and sometimes the wrong interpretation is made. The same applies to a few of the line charts; when a number of lines cross over each other it can be very difficult to differentiate between light green and orange. Many thanks Alex

Your test are slightly harder than those I took at the assessment centre. I found the assessment day verbal reasoning an easier paper as it included "find another word that means the same" type options which I always can answer fairly speedily. Your verbal reasoning test is more difficult and complex compare to the one tested on SHL. Some of them are also local bounded, probably U.K. bias. The real test was 25 minutes for 25 questions. It is more difficult to plan for real test because 1) the system does not allow users to go back to earlier questions- which means you have to answer it immediately 2) the time clock for the real test does not include the seconds, so when i was at the last one minute, i was not sure the exact time i have and i missed the chance to answer the last questions. However, this test is helpful to prepare me for the exam - the nature of questions are more of less the same with the real one. It's about getting more practice and to prepare yourself mentally for the real one.

Thank you for providing this service - it was invaluable in preparing for the online tests of the three companies above. I have a few suggestions for how you could improve on the numerical reasoning test. This is my weakest area, and was the reason I signed up to the site for practice. I found that with all 3 tests I was asked to sit, I was unable to change an answer I had submitted. This significantly increases the pressure of the test, and also changes exam technique - if no 'back' option is available it's not possible to return to more difficult questions. Perhaps you could provide a 'run in exam mode' option for the tests to simulate this? I found the standard of your questions similar to the questions I was asked to do for Deloitte and PwC (SHL). However, KPMG's online test (Cubiks) was more difficult than yours. There was only 50 seconds allocated per question, and the questions were structured and presented to be deliberately awkward and easy to make mistakes on. For example, a large proportion of them were about differences between two values that required calucation using ratios/percentages/conversion multipliers (or a combination!) - a mistake in either calculation would result in the wrong answer. One question concerned male and female visitors to various shops, and the bar chart was colour-coded 'inversely', i.e. pink for males and light blue for females. I would also like to say that the quality of the interface and graphics on your website is significantly better than that of the assessments I sat! I hope this feedback is helpful in your continued improvement of this site. Many thanks again, Jonathan

Great way to become perfect in numerical reasoning. I passed my test and got the job. Practice makes the Master !!! Thanks, Monika

Your practice tests accurately reflected the timing and difficulty of the real tests. They were indispensable to passing.

This is exactly what I needed before I tool the exam. Thank you for putting this together!

My test was 20 minutes and more sophisticated than the sample tests I practiced.

I passed this test. It was 18 questions in 25 min. The questions were hard and were similar to the numerical reasoning tests offered on Assessmentcentre.co.uk. Overall, the tests were very helpful.

Sorry for my previous feedback! I couldnt open the pdf files, nothing worked until i got it, its the stupid google chrome web browser what's not working, you can only open pdfs with IE browser!

Its really really helpful and you tend to get a feeling of whats going to come in the assessment.

The practice tests were excellent for preparing for my tests and provided some new and quicker techniques in the explanations for tackling problems.I passed my tests!

The tests in the assessment day were numerical and abstract reasoning. Questions in the numerical reasoning were completely different from the one included in this website as the questions over there were very simple and no calculators were allowed. But it dosnt mean that these tests are not helpfull i have done some other tests as well in which the questions were very similar to the one on the website. It only depends what comes in your assessment. The other test was abstract reasoning which was also a bit different from indctive reasoning. Overall th tests on this site are very usefull and very competative and help a lot to improve the skills, but unfortunately for the assessment day which I had it didnt worked so well as type of questions were different.

Your tests appear to have fewer amounts of exchange rate /currency based questions and it it those that i stuggled with the most. i found that shl tests often had these sorts of questions.

Would be useful to have tests where calculators are not allowed. Your tests relied heavily on graphs, which was not useful for me. Would be useful to have more basic maths such as fractions and long division without using a calculator.

I think the tests are nice and hoping to take my test during the weekend, but I have some problems with the verbal reasoning. Sometimes when the writer likes, he uses time to suit his needs. Let me explain, as in some passages, he tells us that "we don't know when the passage was written we can't for sure ascertain some facts" then other instances when faces with similar scenarios, he then uses a different approach as if the passage was written for the present day and answers the questions based on that. I think we should all assume that any passage we are reading represents the present day unless their are dates attached, so he doesn't go back and forth choosing when or not the passage is present or not. Aside from that it's been a nice and educative experience which should greatly assist me in my quest to finally conquer the world of phycometric tests.
TUI TravelGraduate Business Development Manager
I passed the tests fine, but they were NOTHING like the practice tests suggested. TUI's tests were multiple choice but there were a drop down menu of MANY options, not the a,b,c,d as these practice tests suggest. Also there is a timed limit on each question, not just the whole test.

The UBS numerical reasoning test was 20minutes with 20 questions. The difficulty of the questions was roughly the same as your tests only your tests had more questions in a shorter time period. I found that practicing with more questions in a tighter time using your tests helped me to feel more relaxed when taking the actual test for UBS

The test was 21 questions in 21 minutes. With the help of your teats, I achieved 90 percent on the exam. Thanks

Numerical tests helped for certain types of questions however didn't cover the variety that appeared on the real test.

The actual numerical test though differ from the Assessmentday package in terms of presentation, i think the practice is nevertheless very useful.

The numerical was practically the same. The assesmentday test are a great practice for the real test. however, the inductive tests have different rules than the real tests but it is a great practive as well

Good, hard tests - probably more difficult than the one I was practising for. Also very good customer service. One useful feature would be an ability to track your progress and see which tests you have already taken. But overall I am very satisfied.

I think the practice tests need to be harder! I have failed all the real tests so far despite doing ok on the practice tests on here. The style of the tests match but the difficulty is very different.

The test I had to take was about 30 minutes long and about 40 questions to answer, so pretty similar. The questions I had to solve though were relatively easy compared to the tests you offer, because of the extra time pressure. I have to say it's definitely worth £ 7,99, real good preparation.

Cleared both the tests. Vodafone was an inductive reasoning test and Henkel was a verbal and numerical reasoning test. I only used the inductive reasoning tests from you site and they were very helpful. Though the form of the questions were different, it helped build my speed and the results were very favorable. :-) Now next steps!!

The SHL manager tests were far harder than the practice tests here. Saying that, without the preparation using these tests they would have been even more difficult.

All of my tests were 20 minutes, the inductive reasoning was kind of different but I think they are special in the way they don't do SHL tests. I actually found the numerical and verbal easier on the actual test than on your practice tests! But that was a nice surprise.

I was advised that I would have to sit a psychometric test for the position of Sales Manager. As with any application the motto is ‘Be Prepared’. Your suite of products were invaluable. The first few tests I completed my scores were not very good but after practicing my test scores started to increase, I was amazed at the difference in the space of a week. Having now sat the test for real, I can happily say that I passed with flying colours.

Hi I find the numeracy tests difficult one as my maths skills are not great and two because on some of the graphs it is hard to differentiate the blue colours when printed out. But worse still there is one answer that i think you have wrong please check practice test 9 question2 - I think the answer is C not A as the final calculation is 70,500 not 61,250. If you look back at your answer sheet you will see someone has typed the wrong number. It is also wrong online I think. For a duffer like me this is quite distressful as no matter what I didn't I couldn't get you answer! otherwise - thanks it is helping I think... I hope.

Verbal tests for Zurich were 30 questions for 15 minutes but there were short passages with few questions. Both companies tests were not difficult in my view. I am currently waiting for an answer from Siemens.
