The test that I had was a mixture of numerical and verbal reasoning questions. the numerical questions were very complex and I left most of them to concentrate on the verbal ones. The numerical ones involved series of fractions and the answers were related to the largest / smallest, adding and subtracting etc. Although I had worked through all the numerical reasoning tests I was not up to speed on the methods used to work out the answers quickly and accurately. I therefore concentrated on the verbal reasoning aspects. The test was to look at two words then choose one word out of a further four that could be connnected to both the former two. Although I got the practice test wrong(!!) I did well on that aspect of the test and, overall, was marked in the 70 percentile against a graduate population. The assessor said my result equated to a 2.1 or 1st class degree level, which was good as I don't have a degree!). I also underwent Firo-B and three other comparatively short tests and, in total, four hours of psychological examination (the company carrying this out was YSC in London). Although the tests that you supplied were quite challenging, having not done that sort of thing for a long time, I am sure that my mind was better prepared for the real testing than it might otherwise have been if for no other reason that the practice enabled me not to get too worried about tests and also to practice the mental state to be in - concentrating, time awareness, careful. I enjoyed doing the inductive reasoning practice tests but, perhaps unfortunaelty, I didn't get a chance to have a real test in that area. I would certainly recommend your services which I consider to be good value for money. And... I got the job!!

My real tests were a bit longer than yours but I scored very high and I got the job.

I got the job, so I'm glad. But more specifically about your test, they're a bit tougher than the actual tests that I took - but that's a good thing... Because I was more confident about the *surprise* questions that may have popped up.

This was instrumental for me to make it through the next round of interviews! I don't want everyone to know how good assessmentday is until I land a job, as I consider it my secret weapon! :P

I carried out a numerical reasoning, Inductive reasoning and verbal reasoning test all in one. These were nothing like the ones I practiced here. I feel like I've wasted hours of my time practicing for nothing.

The type of the questions and the level of difficulty were pretty much the same for both tests. The only difference was the time duration, as my tests lasted 20 minutes both (but it was also 20 questions) instead of 30.

My test had more questions on percentages and currencies

They included questions related to RPI, which caused a problem.

The amount of information in many of the questions in the numerical tests is way more than in real life tests such as SHL. Therefore it becomes very difficult to perform well in your tests under time pressure.

I solved your 9 numerical tests (each test at least twice) and achieved high percentiles (even 100 percentile). My main problem was always having very high accuracy but taking too long to solve the questions. I improved a lot, but not enough for the real test. Today I did a real SHL numerical test. The test was 18 questions and 25 minutes, no back button and no option to return to a previous question, and it was much harder than your tests. I also did a practice SHL exam twice and got 92%, and the real test was harder. The questions were hard and took long to complete, and there were new questions that I did not encounter before, such as graphs with time and distance axes in which I needed to convert meters/second to miles/hour, and hard currency questions. I did not know the answer to 1 or 2 questions (that I spent too long on and moved on), and I only completed 14 out of 18 questions (about 66% correct total I think). I really wish I could solve more practice tests. Your tests were good and provided me with important practice but they were not enough to prepare me for the real test. Much more exams and questions are needed in order to keep improving numerical skills, especially being able to solve hard questions fast enough, in order to achieve 100% in a real test such as the one that I did. I would have solved 20 more tests at least if I could to be prepared for this exam. So my advice to you is to keep writing more tests, and have more variety of hard questions, because it is needed to be able to solve those questions much faster. Other than that, I\'m really glad with your service and the opportunity that your provided me to practice tests, and I will continue practicing your tests for the inductive reasoning exam that I will do.

My test was 18min. There we 5 possible answers to choose from.

My test was with SHL - 18 questions in 25 minutes. The SHL questions were about the same difficulty as the ones on your website and very similar in style and format. The best bit was that I had practised doing 30 questions in 25 minutes so I had got very fast! When I did the real SHL test it felt like I had loads of time. I didn't panic, as I had done on previous tests, and I had time to check my answers thoroughly (though I couldn't go backwards on the SHL test so I had to check each answer before submitting). I just found out that I passed the test and can move on to the verbal one, which I will also be practising on your website - thank you so much Assessment Day!

My numeracy reasoning test was 25 minutes long with 18 questions to answer. AssessmentDay.com should allow the user to do test without a time limit.

These tests are terrific. Better than the competitors- with some help from my engineering Dad I managed to up my score from 30% to around the 65% mark and sometimes higher. He showed me how to think properly on these qs using these tests and they are perfect- just the right format and amount of difficulty..wording of qs etc. Plus, they are cheaper than competitors and have unlimited access..unlike wikijobs. I am VERY pleased with my tests. ~I would reccommend this comapny. I also managed to pass PwC stage 2 with these. Thanks.

The tests provided are easier than the tests which are given for jobs.

The BCG test is much harder than any of the tests present on assessmentday.co.uk. However, your tests are among the best available on the web, and they still include very similar types of exercises. Although I was surprised by the difficulty of BCG test, I managed to pass it with a relatively high score.

Tests for numerical and verbal were shorter. Did not have inductive tests, but had another type of picture based test. Verbal texts were much shorter.

The Verbal reasoning test was very different from the test given at BT, The questions were multiple choice questions rather than true, false, not known asnwers. Passed the Numerical with flying colours but just missed out on Verbal

Very good tool to practice especially with the detailed answer given.

Buyingteam look like they have developed thier own test which consists of 25 questions in 40 minutes. A mix of logic questions and statistical analysis. The Assessment Day test really got my brain working in the correct way. Highly Recommended and great value - what's £8 if you land a £60k job?

Your test preparation was not helpful at all. I scored off the charts (literally an 800 / 800) in math on my SAT's and didn't pass your tests. If I can geenerate $344M+ in returns for my employers isn't that what should matter not my ability to pass a ridiculous test!

I found the tests that I took were the same as the SHL's NMG and VMG. Your tests wre not similiar in that one chart/graph addresses four Q's simultaneously. In SHL's NMG2, the questions and charts were scattered. and it takes practice to do each Q's fast. It felt it was all about speed.

My Numerical Reasoning Test was 25 min (with 18 (6x3) questions) and questins was in avarage more difficult. My Verbal Reasoning Test was 19 min for 30 questions (10x3)

The numerical reasoning was good but I would like it if its a bit more complex. the way the answers are explained are very good as it helps me to correct myself the next time and even short cuts which cuts a lot of my time which I would have otherwise wasted. Verbal reasoning is very good but the time limit set is a bit more as in the real test the time limit is like for 30 questions I was given only 19 minutes. But the standard of your tests were very good which helped me a lot. I am still awaiting my results but I did very well. Thanks to your team

RE Numerical Reasoning Tests The numerical test I did comprised of 19 questions in 24 minutes. They start of quite easy and then get progressively harder. It is not so much the difficulty but the time factor. I would advise making some longer questions, although I have found the tests on this site of great use. For the second numerical test, it was very easy and your numerical tests are hard in comparison.

Your tests provided an extremely helpful practise resource. I would only ask that there be more tests! The numerical test which was visual rather than mathematical (Estimating the percentages from the pie chart) was the least useful, however the rest were spot on. Many thanks, more tests please!!!

Your online tests were longer than my actual test but this was quite helpful as it made the test process seem a little easier.

My verbal reasoning test was 15 minutes for 30 questions. Your's, however, allows longer.

Some of the numerical questions required more steps to reach the answer than yours. Otherwise they were closely representative. The answers to verbal reasoning tests seemed to be based on a more general interpretation of the passage or a particular sentence than recognition of the impact of a certain key word within the passage. i.e. theirs - broad meaning, yours - attention to detail within the passage.

The on line test was provided by SHL company from UK. My numerical test was 25 minutes for 18 items. I tought I did 5 answers correct but I scored only 1. They didn't tell me how the scores were calculated. With regard to your practice test I have to say that was very useful, but I think the solutions should be better explained. I have never done this kind of tests before. Thank You

I felt the PSL tests that credit suisse used was significantly harder than the ones I practiced from assessment day.

The tests were good and great to practise before the real thing however I compared to the SHL numerical reasoning test that I had to complete for the job the assessment day tests were easier. It would be good to have some harder tests in terms of business related questions and unusual wording that other test companies such as SHL use.

Assessment day tests are good in order to get an idea of the kind of reasoning, however SHL numerical tests are slightly different insomuch that they require one to calculate with much larger numbers (this can be a deal braker for people not used to working in thousands multiplied by millions or are not used to calculating with less zero's etc.)

The numerical reasoning test was 25 minutes for 20 questions and yet it was much harder than your reasoning tests. They did not prepare me well enough and I failed. So they should be harder with more conversions to do or more complicated reasoning for example.

On Verbal test number 3 I have to query one of the answers you've given. Q 10, asks about are the majority of developing countries within 50km of the equator. The passage states that most are within 100km. You've said the answer should be true but surely you cannot say as there may be many more developing countries between 50 - 100km making the majority outside 50km? This is strictly speaking as it would be a basic assumption to say 100km is within 1 country around the equator but the passage does not tell you this. The basic assumption would say its true but the passage doesn't strictly tell you that information.

The verbal reasoning test was 19 minutes, with the same number of questions, making it slightly difficult to adjust to the different amount of time given per answer. Most importantly, DJD's verbal reasoning tests are much much much more difficult! The passages are focussed on legal texts predominantly, or some impenetrable scientific reports. The logical passages required are more, and mostly, the level of English vocabulary required is definitely higher. Having said that, I did not encounter the same level of complexity in other grad schemes' online verbal tests - this might be an exception particular to this real estate firm, where large part of a graduate's work is reading, analysing and reporting on legal documents.

Hi, Well the practice tests are good but I felt they are insuffient in number. I was expecting that there would be several test when i logged in. i hope that more tests can be added into our members area in the future.

These tests were too hard for this Company. The maths actually put me off applying as they were too complicated for Easyjet. More basic tests would be better in the Match section. The verbal reasoning was very good. We did have a group test which was to put some reasoning cards in logical order - nobody could do this so maybe something like that would have helped.

The numerical reasoning tests I took at the FSA took the format of 22 questions in 35 minutes, so slightly different to Assessment Day format. However, the types of questions used for the Assessment Day numerical tests were very similar to the ones I had to do at the FSA assessment centre so they were a big help.

Your test were good prep material only that your time limit is bit on the high side

The FSA test is 22 questions in 35 mins and is more focused on financial reasoning than answering 4 or 5 questions related to a graph or chart of numbers. All your tests have a similar format and should be mixed up with different time limits and types of questions.

The FSA's financial reasoning test is 35 minutes for 22 questions. However, those questions are somewhat more difficult, in large due to the necessary information being placed more in comparatively dense blocks of text than in graphs and tables.

Calculators were not allowed in actual numerical reasoning tests. Time schedules were tighter. Inductive reasoning tests were slightly different, more concerned with shape recognition. Overall your tests provided useful practice and were comparatively good value. Thanks.

Your verbal reasoning test was very similar to the one I took. It was definitely useful and I was more confident given the extra preparation I did. I practised from other websites too, like http://www.shldirect.com/practice_tests.html On the real test I had to take, I achieved 93% and didn't have time to complete the final question. So did pretty well!

But i put it in prayer bcos i really studied hard and i belive i deserve the job!

My Numerical Reasoning test was 25 minutes long and had a large amount of ratio questions and fractions- perhaps include more practice on this.

Taking the time to work my way through these in advance was really worthwhile - very similar level to those I faced on the day

My test was numerical reasoning test was 20 minutes and my verbal reasoning test was 15 minutes. I passed both at HSBC. Unfortunately I could not find any personality questionnaires on your site. That would have been useful too.

The entire practice test package was extremely useful in preparing for the actual tests. However, the verbal reasoning practice tests were more complex than the actual test in terms of the length of the paragraphs which turned out to be beneficial at the end. Many thanks to the AssesmentDay team.

Not enough questions on indices(i.e finacial index , FUTSE index and currency index). Also not enough on currency conversions. everything else was spot on.

Excellent preparation, but a little more trick "cannot say" questions could also help.

Needs number sequences for preparing for IPAT test. Also, SHL numerical tests don't get you to do the same amount of calculator work as yours do; SHL has more mental arithmetic style questions. The verbal reasoning was very good and accurate. The same applies to the inductive reasoning tests.

Sometimes I find that the question you pose are too long when it comes to working the answer out. Some of the company tests have shorter questions. Also, the test itself, from my experience of taking around 5 numerical reasoning tests, have only 20 questions with 20 minutes to answer those question. Maybe you could shortern the tests. Also, I do actually like the fact that your tests are more difficult than the actual company numerical tests that I have experienced.

I like the option of being able to look at how the answers are done. It may be seem a bit too much though it would be good to have a why somethings are done so the candidate can apply the knowledge to the brain so we can apply this to other questions as well as seeing why the answer relates to a specific question. Also though your test are the same level as the ones I did, the ones I did had more segments to the questions, e.g. find A then find b then find c. thanks for putting this up though it's still has helped. these tests are similar to SHL tests and they are up to date with current information and data. I would recommend them to people applying for graduate jobs. I like the tests, the more I am practising the better I have become.

These were totally spot on - the best £7.50 I have spent. Although I didn't think I was improving much as I went through the papers it did highlight a major weakness, not acurately reading the questions, so I spent a little extra time on this during the actual test. My feedbackcame back as 'extremely good results' and was subsequently offered a job. Thank you.

Hard work to get through all the practice tests, but it was really worth the money and effort. The SHL test was of the same standard, or maybe even slightly easier. The practice enabled me to finish both tests with time to spare. Brilliant!

Verbal Test had 30 questions to be completed in 15 min. The passages were shorter and applied to more than 4 questions each, so it was not very hard to complete all 30 questions. The AssessmentDay Verbal practice tests provided good practice in terms of logic and speed. Abstract Test has 28 questions to be completed in 14 min. I felt there is a large percentage of easier questions than hard ones, which again made it not very hard to complete all 28 questions in the given time limit. The AssessmentDay Inductive Reasoning practice tests provided good practice in terms of speed and interpreting the sequence.

I think your tests are good practice examples, but the questions in the tests i had were simpler..e.g. ment to be managed without calculator and the verbal teats was for example 5 words and you need to find the one that differs. Maybe you could have dirrente levels and speed required.. Your tests are good.

hi, can u double check if the answer to question 30 of practice test 4 (numerical one) is correct? the answer u give is can't not say from the data. but i think u can calculate from the data. the anwer is around 154? thanks

These tests have been very helpful; I haven't failed any tests since I used them for practice.

The inductive reasoning tests are very similar, however in the numerical reasoning part you missed the exponential growth problems.

In a few of the pie-charts used in the Numerical Tests, it is very difficult to differentiate between shades of the same colour -- light blue, dark blue and purple. As a result, time is lost trying to figure this out, and sometimes the wrong interpretation is made. The same applies to a few of the line charts; when a number of lines cross over each other it can be very difficult to differentiate between light green and orange. Many thanks Alex

My verbal reasoning was 36 questions in 25 mins as opposed to 30 in 20. The answer options were indivdually worded sas opposed to just having 1 question and then chosing from A,B,C or D; this made my test much more tricky because you had to read and clearly understand 4 statements/variations on the same theme.

The practice tests were great. I scored 96%. The only complaint I have is the practice tests were 25 min but my actual test was only 19. So I ran out of time. Other than that, great. Now time to study for Numerical.

Test was slightly shorter (20mins) but that was fine because the stress of taking the test slows you slightly. Basically I have taken a similar test in the passed and struggled to get through more than 50% of the questions. After training consistenly with these tests I got through all questions and this was a key component in getting the position! In terms of look and feel, this was a great simulator in which to train, and it made a huge difference.

I would definitely recommend these tests as they build your confidence and give a taste of what the actual tests will be like. The tests were a little longer than the actual tests, however it still helped with the preparation and it was not a complete shock when it came to the real tests. All the tests were very helpful and the fact that the solutions are included are a bonus as they allow you to see where you went wrong. Very happy that I bought the package...it really did help!!!

The test of nigerian breweries which I bought the practise aptitude test is coming up this weekend. But as a matter of fact, I have benefitted a lot from practices with the questions and solutions. I tried contacting Nigerian breweries asking them the type of test they use so I can also visit the test publisher website but I didn't get any response. But I am confident that assesment day practice aptitude test will give me the edge I need. Thank You

I have completed three of your verbal reasoning tests so far. The first two seemed quite well constructed, however the third is rife with illogicalities and inconsistent presuppositions. The numerical reasoning tests were a lot harder and although I had practised a fair bit I did not do well. I did get the job though...

The actual test was very similar to the ones in your examples. I do not know if the test was successful as I am still awaiting an offer from New Zealand although the recent earthquake in Christchurch has delayed matters somewhat as the authorities deal with urgent matters at home

The real test was 25 minutes for 25 questions. It is more difficult to plan for real test because 1) the system does not allow users to go back to earlier questions- which means you have to answer it immediately 2) the time clock for the real test does not include the seconds, so when i was at the last one minute, i was not sure the exact time i have and i missed the chance to answer the last questions. However, this test is helpful to prepare me for the exam - the nature of questions are more of less the same with the real one. It's about getting more practice and to prepare yourself mentally for the real one.

The Sample numerical tests are far-fetched from the tests that I had to go through and likewise, the verbal reasoning tests.

The company use SHL assessment tools and ways for manager selection and placement. Can you help me find the most similiar test material

The tests and practising certainly helped but unfortunately I didn't pass the tests. There was no feedback available so I do not know where I went wrong or how close (or otherwise) I came to passing

Timings weren't the same but the questions were very similar. It is more about being able to practice under timed conditions than replicating the test exactly!

it was very useful to practice the tests before the real test in P&G. i passed it and i am invited for an interview.

Dear Sir/Ma'am The numerical test were almost the same but the time required to complete the questions was not enough. They were designed by SHL. In the inductive reasoning tests, the diagrams of your websites match those of SHL to a very limited extent. The good news is that Assessment Day has been very helpful in preparing for these tests and I have passed the stage. Thank you

Assessment day inductive reasoning tests were WAYYYYY harder than the tests I took at PwC(which was SHL test, 20min 40 question, only required usually 1 'pattern' to solve the question as contrasted with your test that required 2 or even 3). However, it is good practice and I achieved 97th percentile for the actual test.

These tests are slightly more difficult than those at PwC. It is better this way because when you become good at these tests (after much practice), the PwC ones seem much easier!

i think i had wasted my money by purchasing the e-book from your website ? because the online that i had taken for the PWC company is totaly different from the samples provided by you. esp. the numerical part? rubbish samples provided by you

Probably doubled my score with these tests just because lots of attempts increased my speed and improved my strategy. Offered the job, so well worth a weekend of test practice.

Really Good tests, even though the format was different. The skills I needed were there. However some of the explanations can be done better I would suggest an option of seeing answers and explanations in the pop up window instead of comparing to the PDF Also a section of general tips, such as quick ratio divisions etc.

Thank you for providing this service - it was invaluable in preparing for the online tests of the three companies above. I have a few suggestions for how you could improve on the numerical reasoning test. This is my weakest area, and was the reason I signed up to the site for practice. I found that with all 3 tests I was asked to sit, I was unable to change an answer I had submitted. This significantly increases the pressure of the test, and also changes exam technique - if no 'back' option is available it's not possible to return to more difficult questions. Perhaps you could provide a 'run in exam mode' option for the tests to simulate this? I found the standard of your questions similar to the questions I was asked to do for Deloitte and PwC (SHL). However, KPMG's online test (Cubiks) was more difficult than yours. There was only 50 seconds allocated per question, and the questions were structured and presented to be deliberately awkward and easy to make mistakes on. For example, a large proportion of them were about differences between two values that required calucation using ratios/percentages/conversion multipliers (or a combination!) - a mistake in either calculation would result in the wrong answer. One question concerned male and female visitors to various shops, and the bar chart was colour-coded 'inversely', i.e. pink for males and light blue for females. I would also like to say that the quality of the interface and graphics on your website is significantly better than that of the assessments I sat! Numerical- of all the numerical tests that I have encountered, Asessmenday's tests were the easiest and simplest in terms of providing data and the questions you get asked. I think the difficulty level should be pushed up a bit more Verbal- Couldn't be better Inductive Resoning- as opposed to numerical, Assessmentday's inductive reasoning tests were the hardest, and this greatly helped me to prepare and relax for the actual ones.

Excellent tests. The explanations for the answers given in the answer papers was particularly helpful. The tests were easier than the actual one I took with SHL, but the reasoning behind the correct answers helped me to learn the skills required. Well worth the money. I got through to the next stage of the application process as a result of my success in the verbal reasoning test.

I passed this test. It was 18 questions in 25 min. The questions were hard and were similar to the numerical reasoning tests offered on Assessmentcentre.co.uk. Overall, the tests were very helpful.

Its really really helpful and you tend to get a feeling of whats going to come in the assessment.

The tests in the assessment day were numerical and abstract reasoning. Questions in the numerical reasoning were completely different from the one included in this website as the questions over there were very simple and no calculators were allowed. But it dosnt mean that these tests are not helpfull i have done some other tests as well in which the questions were very similar to the one on the website. It only depends what comes in your assessment. The other test was abstract reasoning which was also a bit different from indctive reasoning. Overall th tests on this site are very usefull and very competative and help a lot to improve the skills, but unfortunately for the assessment day which I had it didnt worked so well as type of questions were different.

Would be useful to have tests where calculators are not allowed. Your tests relied heavily on graphs, which was not useful for me. Would be useful to have more basic maths such as fractions and long division without using a calculator.

I think the tests are nice and hoping to take my test during the weekend, but I have some problems with the verbal reasoning. Sometimes when the writer likes, he uses time to suit his needs. Let me explain, as in some passages, he tells us that "we don't know when the passage was written we can't for sure ascertain some facts" then other instances when faces with similar scenarios, he then uses a different approach as if the passage was written for the present day and answers the questions based on that. I think we should all assume that any passage we are reading represents the present day unless their are dates attached, so he doesn't go back and forth choosing when or not the passage is present or not. Aside from that it's been a nice and educative experience which should greatly assist me in my quest to finally conquer the world of phycometric tests.

The UBS numerical reasoning test was 20minutes with 20 questions. The difficulty of the questions was roughly the same as your tests only your tests had more questions in a shorter time period. I found that practicing with more questions in a tighter time using your tests helped me to feel more relaxed when taking the actual test for UBS

The numerical was practically the same. The assesmentday test are a great practice for the real test. however, the inductive tests have different rules than the real tests but it is a great practive as well

The tests were very good and it did help me to improve my results

The SHL manager tests were far harder than the practice tests here. Saying that, without the preparation using these tests they would have been even more difficult.

Hi I find the numeracy tests difficult one as my maths skills are not great and two because on some of the graphs it is hard to differentiate the blue colours when printed out. But worse still there is one answer that i think you have wrong please check practice test 9 question2 - I think the answer is C not A as the final calculation is 70,500 not 61,250. If you look back at your answer sheet you will see someone has typed the wrong number. It is also wrong online I think.For a duffer like me this is quite distressful as no matter what I didn't I couldn't get you answer! otherwise - thanks it is helping I think... I hope.
